Carol: Rosie & Mr. Fun

Champagne Coffee

This blip is entirely Mr. Fun's. He was quite troubled the other day with the top fell off the lid to the coffee press. There was no little knob to hold and push the press to the bottom of the carafe. Oh what to do?!

So he conveniently used the top from what I refer to as a "Celebration" bottle; yes, it's a champagne bottle top. He told me about tap and die and I listened with undivided attention. And then said, could you just show me tap and die. He didn't.

He took the coffee press to his dad's well-equipped garage (Dad died two years ago, but left behind one fabulous garage full of toys, I mean tools. His dad was an electrician and built their home from scratch and it is quite impressive. So, it was there that the coffee press, became a "Celebration Press."

Mr. Fun took it outside and blipped it empty (if I had done that I would have polished the lid). He then made me my morning pot of chocolate coffee and blipped it before bringing it upstairs to where I was sitting in bed reading. It is amazingly delicious and fragrant. He was thrilled that the top layer of the coffee had a lovely head of foam. You would think it was beer. ;-)

So here at the "House of Fun" on the first Friday of the month, September the 4th to be exact, we have now discovered Champagne Coffee, and certainly we believe that we have a one-of-a-kind coffee press. Now, how fun is that?! Woohoo!

The weekend is here and in the USA, it is a 3-day weekend. Monday is "Labor Day" and I plan not to labor at all. Good Night from Southern California,
Rosie & Mr. Fun, aka Carol

P.S. The high here today was 96 degrees. We've still got wildfires burning.

P.P.S. I spent the entire, every bit of it, working on the Internet getting my students emails answered, putting their email addresses in groups, tabulating their analysis of the first lesson, and collecting their first drafts of essays that were emailed to me.

P.P.P.S. I was so good today that I never once opened Blipfoto (until just now). I knew that if I did, I would be immediately down the rabbit hole and strolling through the journal pages that just suck me in and entertain me for hours and hours. So does that mean that I am maturing as a blipper member or that my addiction is aging nicely. I don't know, but I do know that I absolutely had to work with organizing my classes today and I am amazed that I didn't stray from the task. Wow! So I am off now to do some commenting, but the clock is also telling me that the coach will soon become a pumpkin, so I also need to slide between the sheets before too much longer. I love this blip place and would almost give up sleep to play in the pages.
