Blitzed

Blitzed is a story by Robert Swindells.

As a teacher I get to read lots of kids books and Robert Swindells has to be one of my favourite authors or in fact any story with a bit of time travel in it.

A strange picture you may think but it holds the key to the story.

A hand reaching out of the fake rubble, a slip in time, and George has to survive something much worse than boredom. The rubble is now real - he has slipped through time to 1940's London.

If you look carefully you can just see the hand reaching out. (It rather eerily moves up and down.)

This was of course part of a visit to Eden Camp. A very interesting time with a huge amount to explore. I did find it strange, though, that the book was not for sale in the shop.

Later we arrived in York. JC had found a Lego store he wanted to visit and we made our way to see Chris Ceaser a photographer we know about a days tuition. Who knows I may take a decent photo soon!
