Surviving St Jude

So the hurricane force winds hit us at 3am this morning and blasted and whistled around the house for the next hour and a half, making me feel a little like Dorothy in the Wizard Of Oz

We are all safe, and luckily no damage to the house so all is good

Getting to work this morning was a real challenge though, not because of fallen trees, but severe flooding. Every road I tried to take was closed for flooding, so in the end it took me over an hour and a half to get to the office.

So imagine my surprise when amongst all the carnage of the adverse weather my pink rose happily clung on to it's petals
