The Beauty of the Storm

This was taken at about 8.15 this morning right at the heart of the storm, I couldn't believe that something so beautiful could come out of the terrible weather that was being thrown at us.

My storm damage update is a biggish branch from my prolific walnut tree and loads of twiggy branches and a couple of panes of glass from the greenhouse, but the biggest worry is a huge walnut tree that has blown down from a neighbours garden right across a section of my garden and in turn taken my wooden fence and biggest nut tree with it. I say worry because it wont be affecting her at all as she's only got the root section left - I just hope she will co-operate in having it cut up and cleared away - I don't want the expense of having to get it done! There was a large section of an ash tree that's blown into the river from the opposite bank and a couple of neighbours have lost huge sections of their weeping willows. I think all in all we've got off quite lightly. I hope you have all fared OK during this storm.
