Storm debris

We were so lucky compared with thousands who have really suffered the storm with flooding, powercuts and destruction.

The phone is off, no powercuts or destruction, just a great tangle of branches on the lane below us preventing school runs and people going to work to continue on their journey. One of the tall poplars had also snapped in half. The boys hastily removed the debris with the JCB and chainsaw and all was open again. Going down the other way to the village shop, power and telephone lines were down but Western Power and BT vans had already arrived and were working on the problem. Needless to say, we didn't get our landline back in working order today.

Living on top of a hill any lightening or hurricane storm scares me but so far so good .......
