Crabbing...

... what would a Devon holiday be without crabbing?

Woke up this morning to sunshine, the big storm had past us by without damage. Across the UK and NL there was considerable damage and loss of life, so we were lucky.

After breakfast and coffee, the girls set out to get started on one of their favourite activities here in Devon: crabbing. The water of Mill Pond and the river Dart was much redder than usual due to the amount of red clay that was washed down during last night heavy rain.

This afternoon we visited one of our favourite Trust houses: Coleton Fishacre. Most of the garden was still closed due to toppled trees, but we explored the beautiful house.
