Drink Anyone

Hi Tom,

Think we are in the best place today rather than the UK. The strong winds have blown down a tree in the garden and the river is up and in the back garden. Alex had to have the day off work just incase the cars needed moving and furniture needs lifting. You know how it goes when we get the flood warnings. You also know I'm a nightmare and live on my nerves when the water is coming up, so it's best I'm not there to see it. Alex said it's started to rain again...he keeps updating me.

Well my day stated with a gym session. I felt really good for doing it. I was up early so I didn't miss much of the day.

We then went onto the beach to read, swim catch the sun and just generally relax. I have been stung twice by jellyfish. Once around my ankle then again on the back of my leg. Treatment for jellyfish stings is to either get someone to wee on it or put vinegar on it....I had the latter! A very nice girl sorted the stings out for me. Washed my leg, bathed it in vinegar and gave me ice to keep on it. I only noticed the warning signs about the jellyfish after I had been stung!

This guy in the boat has rather a nice job. He paddles around the lagoon asking if anyone would like snacks or drinks. I think he does a good trade. Some of the rooms have steps down into the lagoons from the rooms. Some along the beach front have their own pools with jacuzzi. Goodness knows how much they are for the week but they all seem occupied.

Tomorrow we are going up the Burjh Kalifa. The tallest building in the world. We are going in the evening as we thought it would be great see everything lit up at night. But tonight it's slightly hazy so I'm hoping tomorrow will be clearer. We have booked our tickets so it would be difficult to change them now.
