PINK DAY 28 - A DREAM COME TRUE

1982 - Conversation between M, Son Number 1 (who was 11 at the time) and Mr & Mrs HCB - just after we had moved into our new house.

"J (son number 2) and I have been having a chat and we have decided that when you both die, we are going to sell the house and buy a Porsche."

Mrs HCB "Oh really!!"

2008 - Conversation between Son Number 1 and Mr & Mrs HCB

"Mum and Dad, do you remember when I was much younger, I said that when you and dad died, J and I were going to sell the house and buy a Porsche?"

"Yes."

"Well, I'm not going to wait that long, I've just ordered one!"

So, 5 years ago, Son Number 1 took Mr. HCB over to Stuttgart to collect his new, bright red Porsche from the factory - and they then took 5 days to drive back to the UK - what a great experience for them both! M had kept a diary, and Mr. HCB took lots of photographs, so I made both into a Photo Diary so that they would have a record of their wonderful time together.

This very large PINK book, entitled The Porsche Book, is on their coffee table at the flat - it needs to be on a table because it is so heavy - but it is definitely PINK so fits in well with the Breast Cancer Awareness Month challenge.
