High Gloss
My friend ,D, plays tuba in Wilsden Brass Band with me - I'm a cornet player - and is a BIG 2CV fan. He has recently had his beloved one in for a respray, and this morning was the first time we'd seen it since he got it back.
Amazingly it was sunny when we came out of rehearsal and I couldn't resist photographing the reflection of the car parked next to this in the brand spanking new paint work.
The three of us had a walk this afternoon with the two dogs. We could not have timed it worse, and I discovered that my waterproof is no longer waterproof! Miss H was having tea ( evening meal in the South!) with us and was so wet had to change into some of my clothes. She has now headed home, still wearing my clothes and hers and ours are drying still in the bathroom. However latest forecast suggests that we should miss the worst of the storm here. I still have very clear memories of the 1987 and the 1990 ones to hit London so I hope and pray that every one is still ok when this one blows out.
I had been planning something creative and different for my 300th blip, but what with the excitement of Sunderland beating Newcastle, I am afraid that was as much excitement as I could take in one day so we are left with the reflections in the high gloss of D's 2CV new paint job.
Thanks to all who look at my blip and encourage me with your comments, and thanks to all out there that continue to inspire me on a daily basis with your pictures and narratives.
