The weather is still quite warm and inviting but its time the have the chimney stack cleaned and fire wood ready for the winter cold which can't be far away now. A few years ago we stopped using deiesel fueled central heating system and installed, in its place, a closed wood fire place which is connected to the heating and hot water systems. We also have a solar boiler on the roof for hot water and as long as there sun, we have hot water even dururing most fo the winter months.

Grace had her wound checked yesterday and all is going well so far. It is really tough keeping the dogs separated. Not long to go now.
