Postcards from Crete number 4

Our first explore around Crete and we drove to a large limestone cave which was huge. Apparently the villagers used to hide in it in times of trouble. No flash with me so took very few shots.

We then had a walk around the outside of this monastery and I loved the colours and textures of the stone. Didn't go in but instead tried to explore the nearby gorge before driving home.

The roads are crazy over here and there doesn't seem to be any rules about speed, parking or overtaking which makes for hair raising journeys.
