Wooden teeth

Actually stubs of the palm fronds cut off the tree as they die and the tree grows tall.
Wish I could also show you the height of that slender trunk, and another foto for the crown of fronds against a blue, blue, bright sun, midafternoon sky. But I really like these "teeth" . . . .
