Swatch

For the first time ever I knitted a swatch today. Karen and I cast on together to try out the colour combos we had chosen for the scatness tunic and have a go at steeking, tomorrow I will take the scissors down the stripey bit to cut the tube I have made open. In the tunic this will be done I think three times to create the front opening and sleeves. It's quite exciting to try something new. I tried the colour order 2 different ways in the pattern and think I prefer the left hand side - red, orange, pink then purple in the middle instead of the way I had planned it with the pink and purple the other way round. Who would believe that swatching was actually quite useful!
