Ridiculous

Saturday 26th October

That this is today's only photo. Kinda sums up the day though. Everything on hold on account of that one snapped bit of the window mechanism. Another part to order.

Pancakes for lunch - regular ones for most, and "silver dollar" almond pancakes courtesy of Elana's Pantry for me, and whoever else wanted to try them. I can make good pancakes :)

A walk into town this afternoon, only partly successful - no wellies, the bed linen I wanted to show Steve wasn't there, and Bear did Not fall asleep. Third day in a row of no daytime nap. It's beginning to take its toll - it's showing in my increased crankiness in the afternoons!!! Bear on the other hand is happy as long as he's fed and can go to bed before 7pm. Typical to have gone and dropped his nap just before the clocks go back...

Then lamb curry for tea. Managed to get it all made and in the oven to cook slowly before feeding the boys and putting them to bed, but then of course although Bear fell asleep instantly, Bean did Not. Three hours of the smell of curry permeating torturously through the house later after he'd finally settled to bed ("Mu-um, can I have another cuddle?" "I'm asleep now..." "You can let go now mum") we finally got to eat! And then Bear woke up.
