Red kite

Today we travelled down to the New Forest for a few days. On the way took a small detour to visit a red kite feeding station advised by loosecanon. A small transport cafe who throw out the leftovers. We were the only people there to watch and at one point we counted over 30 red kites. Not much food was put out and only half a dozen birds dived for the food but they seemed to enjoy the social gathering with lots of calling going on and the odd bit of fighting / play. This bird was just diving for food. I am still excited by what we saw I hope you enjoy the blip.
