Edinburgh - Calton Hill

I had some time to spare before the match at Easter Road today so took a stroll up on Calton Hill. from here there are fine views of the city in all directions and the hill is dominated by this structure known as Edinburgh's shame or folly. It started off as a replica of the Parthenon in Athens but funds ran out and it was never finished- unlike the trams where funds also ran out but money was found to finish the project!

Disappointing football result ...a 2-0 win for Aberdeen , but no complaints. The better team won.
