You may have seen this face before. Meet Sassie, our oldest cat, now at 10 years old. This is a very rare moment for she is sitting still!!

She is a Seal Birman, a classic but as mad as a hatter. If a cat could be autistic - this is it. She has strange rituals and expectations but for all that, stands her ground against Pheobe who likes to wind her up, quite literally. Sassie will spit at Phoebe if challenged and that's what Phoebe loves and makes a game of. I have seen Sassie bite Phoebes' ear in desperation but that's all part of the game to a little dog.

But on the whole and apart from the jealousy they all get on well together, so long as we keep all the food seperate!!!

The weather has been quiet today , awaiting tomorrow. We went to Minehead to get a few bits. It's like stepping back in time - so uncrowded and cute. That is until the Butlin hoards appear. Fortunately today all was peacefull. We collect perfume bottles and we found an unusual specimen in a perculiar junk, I mean artefacts/antique shop. No books for Matthew but I now have to start the hunt for his Christmas presents. He will expect about 8 books and preferably ones he's never had before. That is a challenge as he has now amassed about 400 books!!

We have had a peaceful day with no pressures. It has been a delight, a rare occassion, an oasis in a desert. Tomorrow is Matthew's day and we will try to give him something special.

Hope today has been a special day for you all. Remember there is only one Saturday in 7 days. We all work hard for most of the week, so weekends are meant to be made something of!!

Love all you faithful people lots. We all have different lives and yet meet together to encourage one another. Isn't that something special!!
