Jasper-Free Weekend Starts Here

Due to complicated logistics regarding us working away next week, our weekend away after that and their half-term holiday -- today we waved Jasper off for a week's holiday with his beloved dogsitter Jackie and her family. He's off to Portpatrick in Scotland, and we're sure he'll have the time of his life. He'll have a family of humans doting on him and a doggy friend to play with in Hannah the golden retriever.

We went to drop him off his morning and amusingly he jumped straight in their car and settled in for the journey... he was ready to set off even if they weren't...

So today was weird: a Saturday without Jasper! To take our minds off it we took the opportunity to do the things that it's difficult to do with a dog in tow:-

- we went out for breakfast at the local deli/cafe
- we went to York shopping, including lunch at Jamie's Italian
- we're now off to the local bistro for dinner

Yes, it's pretty much all about eating out. Might as well do it while we can!
