Come into the Garden

By aprecious

What?

Do you think I am enjoying this ritual humiliation?

It is my birthday, apparently. I am two.

I have been given treats at the Grane Road cafe x 2, and some cheese on toast.

I have run around with some slippers.

Fortunately, aprecious has decided to save us all from her singing. Praise the Lord.

Maud wasn't keen on this. But you know, it is still her birthday whatever... I can't believe she's been in the world for two years. Maud's first blip. The first day we met Maud - she was only two weeks old. She's a great dog.

Know how when your old dog dies and you are bereft and there's this hole in your life and then you think I can't bear this space where that dog should be so you look around to see if there are any appropriate litters and then this crazy package of bonkersness arrives called a puppy and you wonder what you were thinking, and if any of your furniture will survive and then she starts to create her own space, not quite filling the hole, but makes a new shape and space that is full to the very top with her own brand of special madness and you wonder how you ever lived without her in your life and how you would ever fill that space if she was gone? That.
