Songs from a buddha shop

Big buddha business at a hilltop, overlooking the great scenery of Phuket and the islands around. The road up a tourist trap sawn with elephant tracks, bird zoos and ”towns best Thai Pad”. I came for the views and blended inn with munchs, salesmen, guards, followers and other tourists. Shopping buddha statues, accompanied by loud prayers from the speakers seems to be the thing to do here, a bit weird remembering buddhas words on silence, serenity and peace as the natural state of being.

A family sitting behind buddha the awakened one, the pure witness, looking on the screens of their smart phones. A sign encouraging for ”7 minutes happy meditation” Wakefulness, the song of buddhahood. Not being a follower but living a buddha life, dropping dreams and masks, being authentic 7 minutes and more ;).
