Snuggled In Tight

It was dry(ish) today for the first time in more than a week. However, the wind was bitter and the ducks I found were all braced against the cold... Me too for that matter. They looked so cold as they tried to nap. (I know they don't feel the cold like we do, but they still looked chilly.) Though, if they truly were as cold as I felt, they could have gotten out of the water... just sayin'. This one was the only one on the water's edge, nestled into some leaves. He must have been the smart one of the bunch. ;)

It was a busy day seeing to this, that and the other thing. At the top of my list was getting the snow tires put on. Can it be that time already??? This does seem to be one of those years where winter makes any early appearance. :-/ Oh well, for tonight, we are all snuggled in and warming up after our evening dog walk; ready to start a movie. :)
