Durham

It was a mixed sort of day. It started off very grey, dull and gloomy, oh-and it was pouring down with rain as well. Then after 1pm we decided to go to Durham to see Cuthbert, Bede and St Oswald. Then, after 3 hours stuck in a traffic jam (multiple pile up on the A1) we eventually got there. The weather cleared producing some lovely autumnal scenes; the backdrop of the cathedral made this even more special.

A nice walk around the ancient tombs and the cloisters then led to the inevitable coffee at Neros. After this we hit more traffic jams on the way home.

So - a mixed sort of day, but the blipotunity made up for it.
