Snipe

Today we flew from Aeroparque in Buenos Aires to another world in El Calafate, in the Patagonian steppe on the edge of the Andes. After finding somewhere to stay we headed down to Lago Argentino for a spot of birdwatching. There was a lot of activity and this Snipe just landed in front of me and started to feed for several minutes unperturbed by our presence.
