Sometimes the only thing stopping me from posting my blip is the lack of title so it's great when someone who has no idea why I'm asking can give me a word.

Today was Be Reminded How Crap The Government Is/Are (<- which is it?) Day.
Our 21-year-old boiler will not survive another year and we need to do something about heating and powering our home. Obviously the most sensible thing to do is to go green. Right. Yeah, right...

It looks like sticking with a filthy oil boiler will cost us 2-3 thousand pounds and then goodness know what on top of that over the years as oil prices go up and oil runs out, not to mention the guilt and hypocrisy of burning oil and being in the Green Party. But going for green heating will cost us well in excess of 10 thousand pounds.
Rid-flipping-diculous!

The Green Deal thing set up by the Government this year is totally useless. The only thing we can hope for is that we will be allowed some sort of loan somehow somewhere as a home improvement...
