Stitched Up

The plan was to meet a good friend for lunch in Forfar and to go for a walk round a loch not too far away. The reality was lashing rain and an extended lunch and chat, with a quick visit to a local hospital to see an exhibition of needlework by a local craftswoman.

The works were exquisite, with a mixture of quilting, embroidery, découpage, beadwork and dyed fabric. I couldn't decide which to blip, so have done a collage of three of my favourites.

As someone who was last in line when artistic talents were being bestowed, I am in awe of people with such skills, but I'm very good at appreciating them:-) Hope you like them too.
