Tops of the shops

I'm always fascinated in old towns and cities to glance upward.

The tops of shops - the 1st floor and above - always tell a different story to the current ground floor usage.

This is a random shot in Ipswich. The top of the building on the left looks refined. Wonder what it's original use was?

Mrs E had a day off today. After a couple of meetings this morning I went with her to Ipswich. As the shops closed up at 5pm, we sat outside with a beer and 'people watched' for a bit. Lovely.
