Corn Exchange - Leeds

Had to visit Leeds today so called into the Corn Exchange for a coffee. Places like this could (I stress could) give shopping a good name. The buidling and space is so splendid.

Completed in 1862 and used eponyously it is one of only 3 left in the country. Back in the early 1990s I remember it as more earthy and mostly frequented by quirky slightly off mainstream small shops. It has a more classy feel these days but still retains a preponderance of independant traders.

Elsewhere had a splendid run on the Bolton Abbey estate with Mutley in a balmy sunny spell between murky wet stuff & TGIF
