Today was the most dangerous part of Skylark IX's journey - the lift.

We managed on Wednesday to float her and tow her into position for the lift . The hoist lift only had 2 narrow slings which as the lifted began to cut into her frame like wire into cheese and I though she was going to break apart. After some terrible creaking and crunching we got her onto the transporter in one piece and she started her journey to the boat yard where she will be surveyed and work can begin.

The lift at the yard had 4 bigger slings so we lifted her easily with no more damage. My blip shows her suspended in the air waiting to placed into her storage/ restoration position - the British airways flyby was for free.
