A New Enlightenment

It's interesting to have the opportunity to take a few days out of the year when you get to think differently about how you do things and the way you might want to do them.

I walked past the Scott monument and it brought memories of some of the work we've been involved in recently. It struck me that much of what we've been trying to do is create a new enlightenment for adult learning and we believe in the ability of our fellow human beings to help us effect changes for the better in society.

Our work demonstrates our belief that it's time we got in tune with what's going on in people's lives, in nature and in other parts of the world. That by doing this we'll make learning relevant and useful to the people we work with and those we might want to work with.

Our idea isn't that complicated it involves helping the system see the people, rather than the people see the system.
