Early birthday celebrations

It is Joe's birthday tomorrow. He will be 13! He had a day off school today, something called an Inset day. He thought this was brilliant as he could spend time with his friend Marc and they had lots of fun playing tennis.

Why early celebrations? Well, we are going on holiday early tomorrow morning and it seemed a good idea to share the cake with Marc today! Chocolate it is. I'm not allowed any. Not sure that's a good reason to set it alight though - very odd!!!

We are indeed off to Devon early in the morning. I may not be able to comment on your journals tonight as there is a lot of packing to do yet! Back blipping will probably be necessary as there is no connection where we are going. Hope you all have a good week and I will relish catching up with all your antics on our return!
