She Told Me To Walk This Gait

Walk this way....

So our 4th year project is about inertial navigation units (if you don't understand that then don't worry, neither do I) and this involves us heading down to the gait lab in the engineering department and trying to use motion capture to analyse the biomechanics of the human walk. Seeing as how everyone's gait is totally unique, I think we're going to have quite a difficult time coming up with a universal solution is going to be tricky.

There's a Google talk on the topic and the guy just stands there and says "It's essentially impossible..."

Great! Let's give the problem to 7 undergraduate engineers and see if they can solve the impossible. If all goes well, this time next year I could be blipping from my very own island in the Caribbean as we'll have all made so much money! Fingers crossed for me, yeah?
