The Bu Burn

Walked along to the Bu Burn. Another very grey day. Anyone can easily walk across this burn in summer - just one step does it. However the combination of the recent rain, and a high tide, will require one almighty leap today. When I got home CMC had just lit the stove in the kitchen - the first of the season.
It's the Deerness Harvest Home tonight - the Kirkjuvagr band will be playing.
The Hoy hills are just discernible in the background.
