Young Collared Doves

As much as I dislike the Collared Doves and Wood Pigeons 'hogging' the Bird feeders.I do admire them in other ways.
Because we have a sizable flock in our locality,I was surprised to read that,generally they are in decline in the UK? Must be the food I feed them? lol
But seriously,we have had 5 or 6 broods of young in our garden this year.These are two of the new generation finding there way round the various food areas in the garden.
The bird population locally is quite good and it's surprising being as there are so many Cats!We have two!
The bird population are returning to the garden quite early.Must be a sign of a bad Winter maybe. Saw a nice little Black Cap earlier but the shot was not quite up to putting on here? lol
