Autumn's glory.

A fabulous day today so we headed off to Parceval Hall gardens near Appletreewick in Wharfedale. Blue skies and lovely autumn colours all the way but particularly here in the rock garden.

Parceval Hall ( you can just see it behind the chapel garden in the top inset) is a Christian retreat but the gardens are open to the public. Gorgeous and maybe next time I hear of a retreat being offered I will be tempted to go.

We had hoped to have something in the tea rooms but a sign on the door read 'Open in April 2014'!

So we went to the Craven Heifer for lunch, very nice too, and then on to Linton Falls stopping briefly in Burnsall to take a few shots for my slide show for our am dram production of Calendar Girls. (The slides are for between scenes and of course the original C girls were all from this area in the Yorkshire dales)

Going to try them out at tonight's rehearsal.
