My treasure from Stewart has arrived! Not only is it a beautiful instrument but it came with its original manuals from 1948! Also included were scraps of yellowed paper, an article about left handed player, Kilby Snow and a photo of the one and only Maybelle Carter clipped out of the New York times and the Christian Science monitor from 1970 and '71. Also a beautiful vintage box top from some German chocolates and sheet music from Germany as well, published in 1957. Along with 3 picks, a tuning wrench and multitudes of yellowed paper songbooks. I am sure that "a sweep of the hand starts you playing..." This is a most extraordinary gift and is filled with ghosts and adventure, I am just sure of it! It was like opening a box of everything I love!
