Cock!

I walked through Trafalgar Square this morning on my way to the Viennese Portrait exhibition at the National Gallery. I could have blipped Darth Vader, a Scottish bagpipe player, a guardsman in his busby or the Incredible Hulk. But instead I bring you the bright blue acrylic German cock on the "fourth plinth" (why?) with glimpses of Nelson on his column and the London Eye.

Some of the portraits were wonderful - particularly the Schiele, Kokoshka (he signs his pictures with a huge "OK") and Klimt. It's a bit confusing as it is arranged by theme (self-portraits, family, etc.) rather than chronologically. There was such a change in the art around 1900 that having pre- and post- mixed together seems odd. But worth seeing nevertheless.
