Russet

Dull, damp, grey so I've been having a useful catch-up kind of day. I headed down to Kilcrohane to deliver some cards and stopped off at Farnanamangh lake to see if the Whooper swans had arrived yet. I think they have but it started to rain so I didn't venture far, but the colours of the bracken were amazing, even in the mistiness. Russet I would say. Did you know russet is technically a mix of orange and purple and is name after a medieval cloth dyed with madder and woad? Fascinating.
