Mummy Squirrel

I felt more inspired today! Beautiful sunshine and a day off work usually helps. Firstly my blip was going to be a pretty autumnal colours photo of the leaves on the tree. Then the sunlight caught the pig wind chime, so I photographed that. Then Baka lay down in a clump of fallen autumn falls. Then I went upstairs and with the sun shining on the bedroom window you could see where a large bird (probably a pigeon) had flown into the window, and you could see clear defination of the birds feathers. Then it was going to be a photo of the table and chair, with book and cuppa where I was sitting outside in the sun. Then when I was sitting out in the sun, reading and drinking my tea this cheeky little squirrel appeared. I have been hoping to capture a squirrel for a while, but everytime I try Baka usually plods out and frightens any potential visitors away.

The squirrel was obviously pleased with the HUGE nut she had acquired and I watched and photographed her as she ran along the fence - jumped down the fence, and the squirreled around in the garden and eventually dug a hole and buried her treasure.

Only when I loaded it onto my laptop did I notice it was definately a female squirrel (large nipples - obviously been feeding young squirrelettes). And you can also just about make out the outline of the church (behind our house) in the squirrels eye.
