What struck my fancy

Time past and present

My 100+ year old Viennese wall clock has stopped and today I took it to a specialist who can repair it, unfortunately he has a long waiting list and cannot do the work till next July. The old clock was a wedding present to my grandma in the late 1800s and ever since I was small I wanted it and eventually it came my way. I wrapped the pendulum and weights in bubble wrap for the trip. The radio-controlled clock was given to me by my dad in 1995. I thought the dear old clock in bubble wrap almost resembled someone lying in state and it seemed suitable to further wrap it in a more modern timepiece.
