Green Team!

My Green Orientation Green Team has been amazing, really going above and beyond what they needed to do and finding creating and spontaneous ways to be green. In the middle there is Trapt, a green team member and fellow blipper. On freshmen move-in day, first-years and their families were given free Eli's soda, a Maine-made soda company in glass bottles. Some vendors at the vendor fair also passed out bottled water (ew...) and people bought there own. Trapt and my roommate Liz saw a lot of plastic and glass bottles being thrown out in the outdoor trashcans around campus--there are no recycling bins outdoors. The two of them went off on a sort of treasure hunt to rescue recyclables from the trash cans. Yay green team!
