Sale Price of Gas in NZ

Today and tomorrow Gull (an opposition gas company to Shell and BP etc.) has petrol on sale at $1.96 per litre. Is this a big thing? Well that is about 14 cents per litre cheaper than the normal price of around $2.10 per litre in the Tauranga area.

For those who think in gallons back in the USA, that converts to almost $7 per gallon in US $. When I left the USA a month ago, gas was just over $3 gallon in Albuquerque. A huge difference.

So yes - to save 14 cents a litre - or 56 cents a gallon - is a big thing.
