Green Dome
Off on Ministerial travels again today, with a break in Glasgow for something to eat before the evening's engagement. Couldn't see much blipinspiration, so when in doubt, look up :-) There's a building in progress near Gleneagles - all pillars and dome. You might have seen it from the A9. Because it is Arab owned land, some folk have jumped to the conclusion that a mosque is being built in the Perthshire countryside. In truth, its going to be a golf club and is a copy of a building in the south of England designed by a Scots architect, Colin Campbell. Odd really that somehow a dome has come to mean a mosque. There's plenty of them around if you keep your eyes open :-D PS in case you're wondering the dome I've blipped belongs to the House of Fraser building, on the corner of Buchanan St and Hope St
