Treat
Today I removed my Pudsey Bear eye patch. In true style I looked after my new eye with special care as instructed, I will have to keep it up for 4 weeks at least! No swimming. I can now see a number plate at 67 feet without glasses. There are some things that are not quite right yet, time will tell.
During the day I washed my hands about 100 times just incase I touched my eye lid, and, one particular time I decided to throw out an old flower arrangement sitting on the window sill next to the butler sink which used to sit in the fireplace, the wicker basket looked useful so the flowers were pulled out. In the bottom I saw with my new eye, a reminder of Poppy, a dog biscuit, ferried away for a rainy day a long time ago and this is my blip today. Today of all days I wish Poppy was here to share the day. It was at this butler sink that I used to bath Poppy every 2 months like clockwork. She loved the blow dry and the cuddle afterwards and being told how beautiful she was. She is watching me today perhaps, I like to think so ...
Ryan was delighted with updates on my sight and explained that the hardware has been installed but that the software (my brain) needs to re-connect, ok!
It has got me thinking about treating myself after the 2nd op (which is due in December) to another lens of a different kind - a well deserved pressie - I can't wait to record what my new vision can see - yay, what camera shall I get ? Any ideas ?
