What a day!

On Friday I had terrible cramp in my right leg. Saturday brought terrific pain, and me stumbling all over the place. Sunday and Monday weren't much better, so I tried to make an appointment to see a doctor, only to be told there weren't any until the following Monday. However, if I rang at 8-30am on Tuesday, I would be given an emergency appointment. Job done appointment made for today. I saw the GP who said she thought it might be a deep vein thrombosis, and to get to the hospital within the next hour. Spent an anxious afternoon of tests and waiting around, but was very happy to hear that it was phlebitis not dvt.
I can't praise the hospital enough for the speed in which they worked to give me the outcome that I wanted to hear. It is a pity that the doctors surgery couldn't have been as swift.
