Skylark IX

Moving day.

After a year of hard work from various different people today we finally managed to raise the skylark boat from its watery resting place in the river leven at balloch.

The boat has been submerged for 3 years and today after pumping for 4 hours she lifted and began to float. I had the amazing job of steering her out the leven onto Loch Lomond whilst being towed by 2 boats . Very scary but a huge honour to be at the helm for her first step to recovery.

She will be lifted delicately on Friday morning from Cameron house slipway then transported to the Clyde ship yard where a proper survey can be carried out.

All aboard the skylark ?!?!
