Isn't Autumn Amazing? There are beautiful displays of colour all over Blipworld, and I have been missing this one right at my front door.

When Si was in the Navy, he tended to be on board a ship at the other side of the world during Autumn, and one year, when I was alone in the town that gave me such nightmares, I wandered down to the Park one morning about 6.30, and collected as many different coloured leaves as I could find, packed them into a padded envelope and posted them off to him in Australia, so that he could have a little bit of Autumn in the mess.

When the staff came in that morning, they wondered why I was there so early. "I was at the park by 6.30" i told them. "Are you trying to get killed" was the standard response!
