Orange peel fungus has started to appear on the patches of bare soil where the bracken was scrapped last year and the heather re-sown. We very seldom get waxcaps on the commons but I spotted a little cluster of four in the grass on the firebreak. At the moment they are bright yellow and conical so maybe butter waxcaps or they might develop into blackening waxcaps. I will watch them over the next few days and hopefully blip them at some point.
