Ahakista to Durrus
A long, 4 hour walk today on our next leg of the Sheep's Head Way - Ahakista to Durrus. This is a very varied and beautiful route and the weather was perfect for walking - bright and fresh with only one brief shower.
The route passes hillside lakes, lanes, tracks, boreens, heathland, sheep pasture, small stone-walled fields and ancient tree-lined roadways. Lots of mud, and a brie and garlic-mushroom panini in the bistro in Durrus to finish off with.
I was shooting on auto today to see what the results were like with the new Fuji X20. Generally a bit of over-exposure perhaps, and this shot has had a touch of contrast and white-balance tweaks and I have calmed the sky down a little.
