Unconventional Sunrise

I was afraid the thunderstorm I heard last night would mean no sunrise. (Well at least no visible sunrise, of course the sun was still going to rise.) It turned out that we didn't see much of the sun, but the beautiful rays couldn't be contained. They just glowed behind the dark storm clouds instead.

I can only imagine what the sunrise would have looked like from the ship. Although I'm glad I wasn't aboard through the storm last night. After dark, the ship and a few of its cousins on the horizon are outlined in what looks like Christmas lights. They are quite festive. :)
