Fog again this morning. You can hearing people cursing, "Fog off!"

At 6:30 this morning I walked the dyke to the sawmill on the Cowichan River estuary. There I had a chat with the boom boat operator and photographed him while he worked. Listen and watch the Log Driver's Waltz National Film Board animation. Canadian Eh!

At 10:30 this morning I walked two people up Mt. Tzouhalem to the cross starting in the parking lot above The Properties, a housing development. At the top of the mountain we were above the fog and we watched it clear. Other people arrived and a small crowd formed. A small flock of hummingbirds were feeding on the Arbutus tree berries.
